Sessions & offerings
While we were away in the NICU, we missed so many of the milestone photo sessions we had dreamed about—newborn photos, 3-month photos, and soon, 6-month photos.
When we finally came home, scheduling and paying for a photo session was the last thing on my mind. But as Leddie's pin removal approached, I realized those pins were such a significant part of her story. They helped bring her home. They helped her breathe. They helped her thrive.
What I once imagined as simple age milestone sessions became surgery milestone sessions instead.
I wanted those photos. I wanted the photos we missed while we were gone. Photos of our family together, photos with her big sister, and photos that tell the story of where we've been. Even with all of her medical additions, these are the moments I want hanging on our walls. This is her journey, and it's our job to tell it and help bring awareness to families walking a similar path.
Project Leddie was created to give families the opportunity to capture the moments that matter—without having to ask themselves if photos are a necessity.
For our family, they are.
Every appointment. Every surgery. Every milestone. It all matters—and so do the photos. They are a reminder of a season when time somehow stood still and moved forward all at once.
About this Project
These are free mini sessions designed specifically for families/ and children who have medical, physical, neurological, or developmental differences.
Children with these conditions (but not limited to):
-Long-Term Illness, Cancer
-Cerebral Pasly
-Seizure disorders/epilepsy
-Physical disabilities or mobility differences
-Medically complex or medically fragile needs
-Use of wheelchairs, braces, feeding tubes, oxygen or any medical equipment.
-Hearing or vision impairments
NICU Grads
The NICU will always hold a special place in my heart. Those days were some of the hardest we've ever faced, but they were also filled with more victories than I could ever count. Every milestone, no matter how small, became something worth celebrating.
Not every NICU journey ends with lifelong medical challenges, but that doesn't make the experience any less real or the moments any less fragile. Whether your stay lasted days or months, every family's story deserves to be remembered. It would be an honor to help preserve those first moments and the incredible strength that brought you home. If you have been newly discharged, this is for you!
It includes:
- One time session
- 20 minutes, Location TBD.
*Your child must be in the NICU in the current year of session taking place*
Please know the beautiful + the meaningful images can be created in a short amount of time. There is no pressure for your child to perform a certain way for photos. I meet you where you are.
